Full Term!

The waiting game has now begun. The baby can officially decide to come out anytime now =)

I got pi to take side photo of me... Wah it seems like my tummy is not big at all ya... Even my colleagues who's due more than 1 month after me, have bigger tummy :(  I wonder why... Though I've eaten lots of "junk" food that I like (such as cakes, cheese, and other fattening things), but it seems like my tummy is not growing that much.. In the last scan, the baby weighs 2.7kg. I hope by the time she's born, she'll weigh closer to 3kg!

Unlike the previous pregnancy, this time round I have quite bad pain in my upper thigh whenever I move or walk :(  So even going from bedroom to living room is a chore for me. Not to mention going to work, which is very far faaaaaaarrr away and require lots of walking.

So today, I asked my boss whether I can start my maternity leave from tomorrow (2 working days earlier than planned).. then after further discussion, he suggested why not I work from home and start the maternity leave only after I deliver? (He knows that I got no much things to do now, I only need to test something this coming Monday and maybe helps to answer colleague's queries and that's about it). He actually said that he didn't care what I do at home, as long as I'm contactable (to answer the colleague's queries) and do the testing on Monday, then considered as working liao.. wow.. Isn't he so NICE?? Feel so touched to have a boss that's so thoughtful.. :)

So.. yayyy.. tomorrow onwards I don't need to drag my legs to office liao... :D

Posting with iPad

Ok this is my first time trying to post blog with iPad. Let's see how it turns out..yup yup it seems like we're following gadget trends after all!! Lol..

A Surprise from Vio

Yesterday Vio gave us a pleasant surprise.

As usual, we were sitting down in the living room after dinner, just hanging around and playing with Vio. Then pi said: "Today is Sunday. Tomorrow is Mooonn.... ?" (with question tone, though we didn't expect Vio to answer that since we never really teach him about days in a week).

Then Vio said: "... day."

But wait! That's not all! He continued and saying "Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday..." And Wah! That really left pi & me stunned for a moment. He knows days of the week! And he can sing it too in a song using tunes of "Brother John". Wah wah wah we were really surprised. When we asked him where did he learn that, he said "school".  Oh well, so at least he really did learn something in school. LOL!

Vio's First Good Friend

As have been mentioned in the last post about his school days, Vio's good friend at the moment is still a Malay girl called Neyla. (which Vio sometimes refer to as Dola). I'm not sure why he likes to call her Dola??

Heard something cute happened yesterday... After school, as usual Neyla was fetched by a car. When the car door is already closed and about to move, Vio insisted that Neyla open the car door (don't wanna let the car go.. something like that).. and you know what happened next? He gave her FLYING KISS! Wa.. so sweeeet.... Vio must have liked this gal a lot :p

Jurong Bird Park

We brought Vio to Jurong Bird Park over the weekend. It's better to bring him somewhere before mei-mei comes, right? As for the next few months, we might not be able to bring him to these kind of places..

Vio was so so so super excited on the way... He keep saying that he'll see penguins, parrot, and flamingo. Even in the taxi he kept mentioning about these 3 type of birds.

Once reach there, though...... He immediately said "takut.. takut.." (scared) and asked to be carried! Eekss!! Not sure what makes him suddenly feel scared.. Maybe it's the environment? Or the tall tall trees? Or the loud bird sounds?

The first part we went to was the penguins. And it seems like this is Vio's favorite place, because on the way back, he asked to see more penguins! Vio was excited to see the penguins swimming.

We also saw parrot and flamingos (as promised to Vio). After that we went to Lori Loft, but since the map given out in Jurong Bird Park is not following the actual distance, we end up taking a loooong route.. and worse of all, it's going up the slope! Wah... I felt so tortured going up the slope. And Vio (still in scared mode), sat in the stroller and insisted that the stroller cover is closed.

In the Lori Loft, pi was feeding the birds. And there's 1 bird (the biggest as compared to the rest), who kept scaring other birds who wants to take the food also.. Haha.. Oh.. Vio touched the birds tails too! At least he had the courage to touch the birds.. :D

[caption id="attachment_2095" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="No.. I don't wanna take photoo.."]No.. I don't wanna take photoo..[/caption]

And then.. the timing was just right for us to watch the birds show! It was a good 30 mins rest for us. At least we get to sit down for 30 mins :p

And after the show, we brought Vio to play in the playground, which is apparently quite small. Vio was excited to see water play. And he insisted that he wanna open all his clothes (yes, including the diapers) to play the waters. And all passerby smiled when seeing him play the waters all naked.

Ok this is a very belated post.. Haha.. Have been busy with work lately so got less time to update blog nowadays :p

Last last weekend, we brought Vio to Science Center, together with Celestine and her daddy & mommy!

[caption id="attachment_2080" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Just Us"]Just Us[/caption]

Oh do you see the baloon Vio was holding? The staff there gave Vio a baloon gun, and Celestine got a flower baloon. So nice of them! :)

I suppose since this year is year of the rabbit, they have some exhibitions related to rabbits.

[caption id="attachment_2081" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="One.. Two.. Three.. Action!!"]One.. Two.. Three.. Action!![/caption]

And Vio was so excited to see so many things to push, rotate, etc etc.. Here he is posing as a pirate:

[caption id="attachment_2082" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="Little Pirate"]Little Pirate[/caption]

But when we're about to go to the other parts, he suddenly got so scared. He was so scared to see "Uncle Einstein" going up and down the rope. Everytime we pass by that place (which we need to, because it's the central room), he would look reaaaaaaally really really scared and cried, refused to go there.. and hug us tight tight... Hm.... The previous time we went there, he was excited to see Uncle Einstein going up and down the rope leh.. Not sure why this time round he suddenly got so scared..

And here's a photo in the discovery zone...

And before going home... We let Vio play in the water play. He was so excited to see pool full of BALLS.. So he spent most of his time there instead of playing water... -_-

Fear

For the last few weeks, all of a sudden Vio develops fear of almost anything. Even on the small small stuff.

When he sees ants, he'll run away and say "Scared ants! Scared ants!"  Even when he sees dirt on the floor, he'll say "Hii.. dirt.. scared dirt.."  And don't even mention about bugs or anything that flies.. He'll also feel scared to see the flowers in our home moving because of wind from the fan.

Well, I read somewhere that children around 2 years old have a very big imagination. So it's normal for them to be suddenly afraid of small things.

So what we do now is try to acknowledge his fear, be there for him when he's scared of anything, and try to explain to him that it's ok... Oh! And also hoping that this phase will end soon.. ;)
