Vio just love to laugh at the smallest unexpected things. For example: we say "baaaaa" from behind the pillow.. we pretend to run after him.. we make funny2 sound when he's doing something.. etc etc

And he also has a unique laughing voice that we can't imitate.. haha.. so happy to see him laughing :)  (ps: normally it's daddy who can make him laugh out loud)

First Fever

Oh-oh... Finally Vio's first ever fever is here.. (that is fever exceeding 37.5 degrees).

I think it's because of the MMR injection he had the week before. Oh yeah have I told you that for the last injection, we went to Singapore Paeds Clinic? It's located quite near to our place. When we reached there, it doesn't look like a child clinic at all (maybe because it's sharing place with a dental one). No toys at all, and since we were early, no child waiting in the waiting room. All are adults. (which is in a way good, as we don't need to wait for our turn).

Going in the doctor's room, we told the doctor first to play with Vio for a while, as he's very scared of doctors touching him. So we let Vio played inside for quite long. We even have prepared doctors toys for Vio, to show that it's ok if the doctor want to check on him. (and btw, the doctor and nurse was amazed to see we come fully prepared!) The nurse was not bad, accompanying Vio playing.  Vio got a bit scared and cried when we pin him in the bed to be injected, but it's muuuuuuuuuuchh much much much better than when we brought him to the other 2 PDs. Phew... At least a doctor where Vio don' t get so scared of!

Oh yeah, the doctor informed us that Vio might get fever after 5-7 days time. So last Saturday, I was quite happy thinking that Vio don't get any fever at all from the injection. So we proceeded with our plan to bring Vio swimming in Jurong East Swimming Complex.

For $2/pax, it's really not bad! There are children's pool, adults pool, lazy river (where you can sit on the float and just enjoy being "pushed" around), wave pool, etc. As usual, Vio was very excited. He kept screaming and refused to go out of water.

We also tried out the lazy river and wave pool (without Vio, of course) and it was good!

That day we also brought Vio to Jurong Point to have dinner. But when we're there, Vio started to feel a bit warmer than normal. That night his temperature was 37.5 degrees, so we gave him the fever medicine and it subsides.

The next day, he was feverish again, and the fever subsides after we gave him medicine. But he was still as active and cheerful as normal. At night time, his fever went up to highest 39.2 degrees.. wow.. i was so worried.. we gave him the medicine again and luckily it went down. This morning his body temperature seems to be normal. I hope the fever won't go up again! So worrying to see him having high fever :(

Something to look forward to ^^

Well, I've always get excited when planning on itinerary, how to go there, what's there to see, etc.. And now.. it's 8 more days to go to Europe!! Hehehee.. I'm soo excited and sooo can't wait :)

So happy that I finally get a chance to be sent there.. Must thank my team lead who specifically asked the PM whether I need to go there for the project deployment too or not. I hope there's no problem with the visa.. It took more than 10 working days to process Germany visa application for Indonesian passport holder.. And I also hope that there's no change again to the deployment date, or else my visa will need to be reapplied again..

Somewhere last week, I muster the courage to ask the PM whether I can extend for 2 days or not (the return flight was scheduled to be on Fri night, so I want to change it to Sunday night instead), and she said can!! Oh I'm so happy.. Ahem, actually most ideal case is if I can take 1 week leave, then pi & I can tour round Europe together.. But I can't take long leave during this period.. Because the sytem will just go live by then, so we all need to be on standby..

So I decided to go on my own for 2 days... Hmm.. Modal nekat aja deh :p

Initially I wanted to go Paris, because 1 of my friend stays there, and I really wanna go there. But.... just so happen that during that weekend, she'll be going somewhere else for holiday.. And I thought, since it was only 2 days travel anyway, and Paris is quite far, I might as well just travel around Germany. Not to waste anytime on the way, lor..

So.. I've booked hotels for my 2 days extension. I'll be staying 1 night in Cologne, and 1 night in Frankfurt (because it's where the airport is). The hotels I booked is considered quite cheap range.. LOL... Well I'll be only sleeping for a while, not going to stay in the room for long. So I chose the hotels that I surely can see once get down from train station (so that I won't get lost), and cheap, and also with breakfast! Hehehee.. so far the hotel that I've booked is Hotel Domspatz in Cologne, and Hotel Excelsior in Frankfurt.

Out of this 2 cities, I'm more excited about Cologne! It's one of the oldest city in Germany, and houses lots of beautiful old churches and many old Roman type buildings. The cathedral there is also verrryy hugeeee and grand, it takes 600 years to finish building it.. Wow, can't wait to see it! (and btw, the hotel I booked is very near to the cathedral) haha.. Oh yeah, Cologne also have Chocolate museum that's located in a bridge on top of Rhein river... Hm, no, I don't think I'll go in the museum, but I wanna go to the cafeeee! They have a cafe that serves cakes and various types of chocolate drinks.. and we can sit in the cafe, while enjoying the view in Rhine river.. woooooo.. I so can't wait!!

The "Centil" Boy

There's no doubt Vio loves to admire himself in the mirror.. I wonder where he got that from?? LOL..

If he's wearing anything new, the first thing on his mind is... how it look like on him in the mirror.. hahhaa... Sometime back, I found this cute round glass-less glasses in Toa Payoh hub, and I thought how cute Vio will look like in it!

Well, he does really look cute wearing it! Too bad he keep throwing the glasses, so that the beads starts to come off.. hehehee..

Pasir Ris Park

Last weekend, as we need to send pi's relative's maid to the airport, pi was looking at a place in the east that we can go to. After all, we seldom go to the east part of Singapore. After some surfing, we decided to go to Pasir Ris Park, a place that looks quite big in the map, and we've never seen (or even heard) it before! The main reason we wanna go there is because they have pony riding. We were thinking whether Vio will be excited to ride a pony or not?

So about 10am we went there. It was quite hot, and Vio was .... sleeeeeping... Yeah, he had his afternoon nap on the cab. So we just walk around the park, while Vio is sleeping inside the stroller. The park was quite big, but is not as "colorful" as I thought it would be... I thought parks supposed to have many flowers and trees... But not this one.. No flowers and not so many trees.. So we walk towards to beach and find a seat near the beach.

One thing we like about beaches is the air feels different. There's a certain kind of "beach smell" that make us feel fresh, as if we're not in SG.. and also  it's quite windy, so we don't really feel the heat.

After about half hour sleeping in the stroller, Vio wake up, and we head to the beach! (oh yeah, it's the first time we bring him to a beach..)

Apparently the beach was not so clean.. The sands are not so white, and even the beach water is quite dirty. Nevertheless, Vio said "wowww" when he saw beach for the 1st time.

And we let him play in the water too, for a while.

Sadly... because we let Vio played a bit in the beach with the shoes on, now his shoes is officially declared as "dead".. it spoiled!! Haiz... Now need to find another shoe for Vio...

After playing in the beach, we went to the pony & horse ride. Again, Vio said "wowww" when he look at horses, but surprisingly, he's not that surprised to see horses.. hmmm...

Just when we want to start riding a pony (Vio, actually.. not us.. I think we're kinda too big for the pony.. LOL..) it started to drizzle!! Aiyooo... why of all the times must it rain that time... Soon the drizzle changes to heavy rain.. so we sit inside the small shops that rent skate while waiting for the rain to stop..

There goes our plan for pony riding and renting bikes.... hahahaa.. after the rain stops, we had our lunch at Century square and went back home... =D

20 First Words - Completed!

Now and Then

 A little while ago, the long-lost Vio's own photo album was found under my bed! I wonder how it can go under my bed in the first place... Anyway, Vio was excited to see his photo album again, and of course, he continued trying to flip it (and also "accidentally" ripped it apart).

Oh just look at that comparison! The photo was taken when he was about 3-4 months old I think.. soooooo chubby..  (as compared to now.. hehee)

Anyway.. lately Vio loves to imitate what the adults are saying.. For example when I say "six", he'll say "sizzzzz"... And with his vocabulary increased day by day, finally Vio's first 20 words is completed! Here goes:

2nd Visit to IKEA

About 2 weeks ago, we brought Vio to Queensway shopping center, to accompany nai2 buying swimming suit (which, apparently is not cheaper than buying in departmental store!) Since it's near to IKEA, we decided to bring Vio there to play, as Vio loved IKEA so much on his 1st visit.

Sure enough, Vio still love it very much!

He gets excited to see ALL corners of ikea.. so many things to open/close, climb, etc etc etc..

It was so difficult to drag him out of 1 place, and when reaching a new room, he'll get all excited again, he kept running around. Tsk tsk tsk... I wonder where all that energy come from..
