Opa Oma visiting again!

*clap clap clap* so happy opa & oma is coming for a visit! They were here from 7 - 14 Oct 2009. Such a short time... At first, Vio was shy, not wanting to be carried by them. But during the last days, Vio loves to play with opa & oma, even ask to be carried by them!

We've planned to bring Vio along to few places, such as the National Museum, Botanical Garden, to malls, but there's always something that caused us not to bring Vio.. So in the end, only brought Vio to HortPark on their last day here.

The places visited... more or less the same. Just got 4 "new" places visited:

1. LITTLE INDIA

Hmm.. actually my parents have been here before, but anyway I asked them to go here again, since my brother likes ethnics stuff...

It was near to Deepavali, so the "market" was quite crowded and decorated... hmm... not sure if normal days also like that? Anyway the market area was SO HOT.. so we didn't stay for long there.. and when my bro ask my mom whether she wants to try some food, as expected, she frowned.. haha.. Well yeah she's not too opened about new food, especially Indian food..

2. CITYHALL + NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SINGAPORE

Before going here, we had our lunch at Asian Kitchen @ Citylink.. I thought that my family will love it.. well yeah my dad & bro likes it but my mom say that it's too sweet :(  Anyway, I tried the Soft Shell Crab La Mian and it was niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee... Hmmm which one should I order the next time round I'm going there? Should I order this one or my fav Zha Jiang Mian? ;)

After having our lunch, we walk to the National Museum of Singapore, passing by Chijmes...

Have I told you that apparently the museum was faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrr from Cityhall MRT? The guide says that the museum is only 5 mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT, and we thought that they're bluffing. I initially thought the museum was just beside NTUC Income, but apparently it was Singapore Art Museum.. The National Museum was further down.. and under hot hot weather, the distance felt like doubled! And apparently.. it really was 5 mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT.. lol..

The museum itself.... is not as nice as my expectation.. Well at least I expected something nicer and more unique, like the ones in Asian Civilisation Museum.. but the things in this museum is more to history of Singapore.. Ah well, but at least now we've been there before!

3. MARINA BARRAGE

When I first shouted the idea of going to a water reservoir, my parents was so unenthusiastic.. "Who wants to go see a water reservoir.." But in the end they went too, anyway it's a "new" place that all of us never seen before..

So we went to Marina Bay MRT, and walk a surprisingly far distance to the busstop! It was near actually, but the road was blocked so we need to go 1 round (like a U-shape) to get to the busstop. Lucky the bus reached just-nice so we don't need to wait for the next bus which was about 20-30 mins interval!

Reaching the Marina Barrage, it was drizzling.. When we walk inside, they were astonished.. "Wow! This is nice!" kekekekee.. they like the place! We took many photos there.. but then I realize that my camera battery is flat! sob sob sob.. so can only take a few shots..

And while we're just standing on the green roof admiring the view, suddenly my brother say to the person next to him: "Eh, you're Thomas Djorghi right?"  Then the person say "yeah, halo" then go for his shooting. Apparently they're there with Trans7 in collaboration with STB to promote singapore's tourism! My brother was so excited, he wanted to take photo with the artist, but he was too shy to ask him to take photo together, so he's pushing me to ask him instead! Aiyo..... I was so paiseh.. We waited for a longgggggg long time before he finally have a short break from the shooting, then I go and ask him (really paiseh!) and so.. now we have a photo with a movie star! lol..

And actually, he was presenting a travel show with another gal, Lala, which was said to be a presenter of a gossip show. We don't know and never saw her before, but anyway, we also take photo together with her.. kekekekeke.. but I think no need to post here lah.. 

4. HORT PARK

This is the place we went to only on the last day of my parents here. And this time, we brought Vio along! Yay! So happy I can bring Vio out for a walk..

I planned to go from home at 8am so it's not too hot, but as you can guess, with many ppl going, there must be a delay here and there, so finally we reach Hort Park at around 9+ am, and it was HOT HOT HOT HOT.. and also.. there were so many worms! Eeeuuuuuu.... The place was not bad actually, provided we're not going there on a hot day..

When we decided to go home (since it's too hot), Vio fall asleep! Maybe he's too tired.. So we sat on the bench, waiting for Vio to wake up before we finally going home! =)

- Reborn-

Savio has been "reborn"! He was baptised in St Mary of the Angels church on Sunday, 11 Oct 2009, 3 pm.

It was so funny... when Vio's turn has came to be baptised, he refused to put down his head! He wanna look at the water... so in the end, his head was facing the wrong direction (he should be turning to the left, but instead he turn to the right).. but at least.. there's 1 photo with his face visible..

And after the baptism, it was time to put on the baptismal gown.. We tried to put on Vio's newly bought baptismal gown and.... his head was too big!! It can't go in to the baptismal gown... so sad............. Well.. I didn't try it before, coz it looks big enough for Vio... haiz...

And as usual, Vio can't stay quietly during the celebration. He keep wanting to go around and crawl in the chair while everyone is standing. And he happen to knock his head a bit to the chair. It was not hard, but he cried soooo loudly... so paiseh..

And somemore updates....

• Savio can correspond the word "mamamama" with me! hehee.. so happy... This morning when he already woke up and I went for a while to the toilet, he cried and call to me "mamamama".. oh so happy!


• Nowadays when he wants to sleep at night, he no longer sit up and throw himself backwards, he'll just turn back (to the tummy), lift his body a bit, and turn himself backwards.. hehehee.. new style!


• He still like to suck his pointing finger more than his thumb..


• His crawling style is still unique, as in the left foot is on walking position while the right one is (now) already in more or less correct position. Well, the left foot is nowadays getting a bit more correct too!


• a happy and unexpected news: we won a FREE OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT from masakecil photography!!!! woah i'm super duper happy and excited! The photoshoot should be done this coming Sunday.. Well.. first time winning something so I'm very excited ;) Hope it will turn out niceeee... I've always wanted a photoshoot for Vio but it's very exp in SG.. kekekekek...

Sad sad..

Last night.. for the first time ever.. Savio don't want to be carried by mommy... He wanted to stick to Nai2 even though mommy just finish changing after reaching home from work.. He even cried when I'm still taking him to carry him... I felt very very very very very very very sad... He would normally ask me to carry him whenever he sees me, no matter who is carrying him... Maybe... he sees me too rare? As in.. the time I spent with him on weekdays is very little.. Few mins before I go to work in the morning, and then I reach home at 7:15pm and Vio sleeps at 8:30 - 9 pm.. And in between I still need to bathe and have my dinner first..

But this morning, it was the other way round. Vio don't want to be carried by Nai2, when Nai2 wanted to carry him so I can take shower to go to work, Vio clutches on me hard hard, not wanting to let go.. Well, at least that makes me a bit happier ^^

A July Photo to Scrap

Yes, the photos was taken on July, and now is already October.. but I can only scrap the photos now coz I was waiting for my orders from YSS... I ordered the papers & embellishment coz I think it match perfectly with the photos I wanna use!

Oh.. reminiscing the time when Vio looooooves his tricycle so much, he wanted to go in it around the house for few times a day... Now.. he don't even want to sit on it! He prefers to play with the wheels or other parts..

The Active Baby

Vio is getting very active nowadays. He don't like to be carried that much, he prefers to crawl or walk. He loves to crawl around the house very much! And he'd love to touch on everything that he sees. He also loves to throw things around purposely, sometimes it can be really irritating, esp when we're feeding him and he keep throwing his toys and curve his body such that his head can stare below to the dropped toys for a long time until we pick the toys. Woah so scared that his high chair will trip over!

On Sat morning, we brought Vio to ICA to collect his first passport.. Amazing hor.. even a baby can have a passport! The passport photo we submitted was successful.. yay! Otherwise I dunno how will Vio sit quietly in the photo booth to take passport photo.. lol..

On Sunday, I just remembered that I've wanted to re-open the Fisher Price playgym for Vio to play (for quite sometime liao, but I keep forgetting!). It can be converted to a tunnel for Vio to crawl in.. well, on Sunday I finally remembered to do it..

At first Vio was hesitating to go in. He was more interested in the pics outside the "tunnel".. Ah well, finally we can persuade him to come in and... it was too small for him liao! ARrrrgghh... His head can drag the whole "tunnel" with him.. hahaha.. I should've opened it earlier.. But anyway Vio was quite excited with his new tunnel..

Oh see how cute he is... When we brought the tunnel to yeye's room, he followed the tunnel by crawling... lol..

The First Cold

There's always the first time for everything, and for Vio, yesterday was the first time he caught a sickness - he's having flu now. He has a runny nose and slight cough. No wonder the night before he kept crying while sleeping!

So yesterday pi & I brought him to the PD, and the queue was quite long.. After about 1/2 hour waiting, finally we can see the PD! When he saw Vio, he said "so coming to 2 years already ya?". Pi & I were like "huh?" then after he saw the record, he said "Oh, it's 9 months now. Coz his size is like 2 years old" hahahaha.. yeah Vio is tall.. Have I told you that he was 9.95kg yesterday? The height can't be measured liao, coz he's way too tall for the baby height measurement..

Last night Vio was so cute, when the PD wanted to check on him, he kept peeking at him & cry, peeking at him & cry.. He's so shy with strangers nowadays.. Anyway, the PD said it's just a common flu, nothing serious. So we got some medicine for Vio to drink and also some nose drops to ease the congestion. So last night, Vio also can't sleep well, he often toss around as his nose was still uncomfortable and quite blocked..

Yawn... I'm soooooooo sleepy today..
